Dr.Zelko’s Podcast:
Hi this is Dr .Tim Zelko from ZBodySculpt and Zelko aesthetics. A very common question that I hear during consultations is, “Is the procedure permanent?” The procedure is permanent as long as you behave yourself. By that I mean, when you remove your fat cells your body is not going to make more fat cells, so as long as you maintain body weight or lose weight, your body will maintain the results that your received from the tickle lipo procedure. However, if you start gaining weight two things happen. One, you’re going to put that extra weight and extra calories in the fat cells that you have throughout your body. Where a procedure was not done, you will have higher density of fat cells rather than where the tickle lipo procedure was done. So those areas tend to grow bigger, faster. And second, if you continue to gain weight, in time, you will make the fat cells that were left behind in the treated (liposuction area) grow to whatever size you permit. This would then wipe out any results that you had received from the previous lipo treatment. Therefore, in general, liposuction is a permanent procedure as long as you behave yourself. If you maintain weight or lose weight you will maintain your procedure results.
